Aaron McLuen, Founder & CEO

For a solid decade of my career I’ve been fortunate enough to work with and be mentored by someone who both loves and appreciates people and also understands how to do good business. Much of it is simple, obvious stuff, like asking yourself “what’s the right thing to do here?” – even if it means turning down business. But the other part, which is much easier said than done, is to make your employees feel valued, appreciated, and like they are an important contributor to something meaningful, beyond just collecting a paycheck. I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity of both experiencing and helping to build that type of workplace culture, and now want to make it easier for others to create and preserve.

My career has led me to this place. 20+ years ago, I discovered the beautiful combination of creativity, engineering, and collaboration that goes into building software solutions. Since then I have worked largely in the space between executive stakeholders and software teams, with many projects focused on high level visibility into complex business and engineering operations. Industry labels for this include such things as Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Executive Dashboards, Program Management, and Long Range Business Planning. Having used off the shelf products in this space, I see an opportunity for a new approach that helps businesses simplify how they think about and consume their performance indicators, and share information with employees in a way that empowers, enlightens, and aligns.

Having been annoyed by most tools in this space, and experiencing tool fatigue in general at times, one of the primary objectives with our software is to build solutions that aren’t “just another tool.” We do not intend to replace your existing business applications, but rather to provide an interface to useful data in those tools that helps keep everyone out of the weeds, and focused on the mission objectives for your organization.

I’m so excited to be launching CoreUs with a team of my favorite people and a core software architecture that can fit and be customized for any industry, and also has countless opportunities for personal use.

George Barta, Partner & CTO

Since launching my career in software engineering back in the mid '90s, I've been passionately involved in the world of professional services and software product development. My journey has taken me through the intricacies of the aerospace industry, healthcare and medical, finance, retail, and even to the fast-paced environment of modern social media. The slow transition from focusing solely on my own coding achievements to fostering a collaborative and creative environment for others has been immensely rewarding. As a co-owner and the technical backbone of CoreUs, I continue to blend my love for hands-on development with my passion for guiding and inspiring our talented team.

My vision for CoreUs is rooted in a belief that there's a better way to create software. I'm a strong advocate for intense collaboration and group programming. This approach not only improves the quality of our software but also reduces the amount of code and time needed to deliver value. My ultimate goal is to create a workplace where we're not just productive, but also energized and empowered, balancing professional growth with personal well-being.

Outside of work, I'm an avid paragliding pilot and foosball player. I thrive on challenges, both in the air and on the ground. My life is about more than just work; it's about nurturing the relationships with my family, friends, and colleagues. For me, success at CoreUs is defined not just by what we create, but by how we support and enrich each other's lives.

    Matt has a keen eye for design detail and a passion for crafting seamless, high-performance applications. A perfectionist at heart, he thrives on challenges and enjoys diving into new hobbies, sometimes too many at once.

    Originally from Erie, PA, Sean moved to Seattle and became a software engineer after a few years of working in the music industry. When he's not slinging code, he's busy with his wife and dog exploring the great PNW outdoors or rockin' out with his band.

    Code maestro by day, cycling conquistador by weekend. Crafting elegant code and conquering hills are this Software Engineer's passions. From beauty on-screen to open roads, they push boundaries with both keyboard and pedals.

    A Washingtonian with a passion for exploration, outside of work, you can find him skateboarding, in the mountains, or simply walking his dog around the neighborhood.
